Mrs. Kimberly Elizabeth Wells Barr, 56, of Rural Hall, died Thursday, April 25, 2019, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.

She was born Feb. 18, 1963, in Rowan County to the late Charles Jefferson and Elizabeth Ann Hogue Wells. Mrs. Barr had worked in Yadkin Schools and later at Wake Forest University.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Bonny Wells Norman.

Survivors: her husband, Gary Barr, and a son, Adam Barr, both of the home; a sister, Dina Wells Bowman (Danny) of Mocksville; and nieces and nephews, Chris Barney (Jessica), Conner and Alex Barney, and Olivia, Daphne and Journey Bowman.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 28 at First Baptist Church, Mocksville with the  Rev. Al Fausch officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery in King. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
