Charles Wayne Howard, 69, of Advance, died on April 12, 2019 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was a lifelong resident of Davie County, the son of the late Charlie Wayne and Helen Hilton Howard. A retired truck driver, he liked guns and eating at local restaurants with friends.

Survivors: a son, Christopher Howard and wife Jessica; daughter, Meghan Howard; a brother, Sam Howard and wife Judy; and a special friend, Barbara Cason.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. May 5 at Bixby Presbyterian Church.
