On Saturday, April 20, from 7-11 a.m., The Cooleemee-Mocksville VFW on 7722 NC 801 S. in Cooleemee will host a breakfast.
The all-you-can-eat breakfast will include ham, sausage, eggs, grits and gravy, biscuits, coffee and juice for $7 per adult and $3.50 for kids 10 and under.
Wayne Seamon, VFW Post 1119 commander since 2001, challenges everyone to: “Be a partner in patriotism and come on out, enjoy a great meal and a time of fellowship. Bring the kids to meet some local combat vets, and support all of our local veterans.”
Folks from Cooleemee-Mocksville VFW Post 1119 make regular visits to the VA Hospital in Salisbury to host bingo tournaments, distribute toiletries, reading materials and more.
The VFW is America’s largest organization of combat veterans.
