Sunrise service at Ijames

Ijames Baptist Church will hold Sunrise Service on Easter morning, April 21 at 7 a.m. A full breakfast will be served at 7:30.

Sunday school will begin at 8:15 and worship service will begin at 9:30. There will be no evening services.

Visitors are always welcome.

Concord UMC Easter services

On Friday, April 19 Concord United Methodist Church will have a Good Friday service from noon-3 p.m.   This will be a service of prayer and meditation. Enter and leave quietly.  All are invited.

Easter Sunrise service begins at 6:45 a.m., followed by breakfast. Worship is at 8 a.m. in the sanctuary.

Holy Week at Cornatzer UMC

Cornatzer United Methodist Church on Cornatzer Road, Mocksville, will observe Holy Week services as follows: Maundy Thursday, 7 p.m.; Good Friday, church open noon-2 p.m.; Easter Sunrise, 6:30 a.m.; Easter worship featuring choir cantata, 11 a.m.

Ascension Easter services

The Episcopal Church of the Ascension, 183 Fork-Bixby Road, Advance, will observe the following Holy Week schedule: Maundy Thursday service including footwashing and stripping of the altar, 7 p.m.; Good Friday solemn service, 7 p.m.; Easter Sunday breakfast at 9 a.m., flowering of the cross and egg hunt at 10, and Festive Holy Eucharist at 11.

Wesley Chapel Methodist

to host breakfast Saturday

Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church will host a breakfast this Saturday, April 20 from 6:30-10 a.m.

The menu will include country ham, sausage, scrambled eggs, grits, sawmill gravy, red-eye gravy, baked apples, homemade biscuits, orange juice and coffee.  Wesley Chapel is three miles west of Farmington, just off of NC 801 North on Pino Road.

The United Methodist Women will sell chocolate-covered raisins.

Easter at Erwin Temple CME

Easter Sunrise service will be held at Erwin Temple CME Church Sunday morning with Moores Chapel AMEZ Church of Woodleaf. Service will begin at 6 a.m. and the Rev. Eddie Fortson, pastor of Moores Chapel, will give the morning message. Breakfast will be served afterwards.

Morning worship will begin at Erwin Temple at 9 a.m with the Pastor, the Rev. Ervin L. Hannah Jr. giving the message. The church is at 155 Erwin Temple Church Road, Woodleaf.

Community Easter service

There will be a community sunrise service on Sunday, April 21 at 6 a.m. at Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church where the host pastor is the Rev. Johnny R. Rice Jr.

The speaker will be the Rev. Gary Milton, pastor of Boxwood Missionary Baptist Church. Breakfast will be served after the service.

Greater Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church will be in charge of the service and breakfast.

Country breakfast

Saturday at Salem

Salem United Methodist Church will host a country breakfast Saturday, April 20 from 6-10 a.m.

The menu will include biscuits, ham, sausage, tenderloin, eggs, grits, gravy, and baked apples. Pancakes will be made to order. Baked goods will be available for sale. Donations will be accepted, and 75 percent will be placed in the Salem Benevolence Fund. The church is just off Davie Academy Road on Salem Church Road, Mocksville.
