Mrs. Nancy Ann Murph Southern, 84, of Kernersville, died Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Mallard Ridge Assisted Living in Clemmons.

She was born April 7, 1935 in Iredell County to the late William Cowan and Era Mae Howell Murph. Mrs. Southern was active in United Methodist Women with First United Methodist Church of North Wilkesboro. She enjoyed camping, hiking and visiting historical sites and national parks.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Bill E. Murph; and a nephew, Bill E. Murph Jr.

Survivors: her husband, Phillip Southern of the home; a daughter, LuAnn Mascorro (Matt) of Winston-Salem; and a granddaughter, Madison Mascorro.

A graveside service was conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 13 at Rose Cemetery in Mocksville with Dr. Mike Gehring officiating.
