Sirmarcus Nixon Jr., 8, of Mocksville and Laporte, Ind., died unexpectedly on March 27, 2019.

He was the son of  Kadeshia Mitchell and Sirmarcus Nixon Sr. He attended Cooleemee Elementary School, where he was known well and loved by peers and teachers, often known as “Lil’ Marcus.” He was loved for his one dimple,  wonderful personality and for being smart and spontaneous. He put a smile on faces and loved to dance, doing the “Shoot.” He loved his family.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by: 2 brothers, Xavier Parker and Samuel Nixon, big sister, Destine Nixon and grandmother Wanda Nixon, all of North Carolina; Nana Katherine Mitchell and Michelle Kirk Brown; special aunts, Shelby Mitchell, Terry Crump, Maria Dalton; special granny, Mary Sneed and Papa Eric; special cousin, Adrian “Butt Butt” Levins-Wright; and a host of aunts and uncles and cousins.

The service will be Friday in Indiana.
