Jennie Sue (Short) Neal, 62, of Lexington, died at Forsyth Medical Center-Novant Health Friday, Feb. 22, 2019.

She was a native of Mercer, W.Va., born June 15, 1956, the daughter of the late Charles W. and Ella M. Horn Short. She was the widow of Dennis B. Neal.

Survivors: 2 sons, Richard Lee Neal (Christal) of Lexington and Jason E. Neal of Dallas, Txas; 3 brothers, Roger Willbrant (Kim) of Flotifs, Charles Short of Mocksville, and John Short; 4 sisters, Tammy Fralick (Jerry) of Bluefield W.Va., Sandra Ross (Ike) of Mocksville, Jacqueline Adkins Potts (Jimmy) of Lexington and Julie Byrd (Donald) of Bluefield; 2 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She wa salso preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Short.
