William ‘Harry’ Ott

William “Harry” Ott, 83, of Clemmons, formerly of Lansing, Ohio, died at Forsyth Medical Center Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019.
A native of Wheeling, W.Va., he was born July 22, 1935, the son of the late Chalmer and Geraldine Strother Ott. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Ruth Greene Ott.
Mr. Ott was a loving father, grandfather and a member of United Wesleyan Methodist Church in Bellaire, Ohio. He worked for Nickles Bakery for 30 years. He was active with the Lansing Sportsmen’s Club and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a movie enthusiast with a breadth of knowledge on Western genre.
Survivors: his daughter, Tammy Hudson and husband Steven,of Clemmons; 2 grandchildren, Justin (Colleen) and Lexie; and a niece, Connie Morrow.
Family and friends will be received at a committal service at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 at Greenwood Cemetery Chapel in Wheeling. The celebration of life service will follow at 4:45 p.m. at United Wesleyan Methodist Church, 4424 Harrison St., Bellaire, with Pastor Mark McKay officiating.
