Billy Michael York, 56, died at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice in Winston-Salem Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019.

He was born in Davie County on Oct. 22, 1962, the son of Geraline Holleman York and the late David Clyde York.

Also surviving: 2 sons, Zachary M. York and Cory M. York, both of Mocksville; and several grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Michelle York and Ginger Rutledge.

Visitation with family and friends will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4 at Davie Funeral Chapel in Mocksville. The celebration of life service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5 at Davie Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Darrell Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Legion Memorial Park in Cooleemee.
