Patsy Sue Reavis ‘Pat’ Cartner

Mrs. Patsy “Pat” Sue Reavis Cartner, 78, of Harmony, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019 at Carolina’s ContinueCare Hospital in Charlotte.

She was born Nov. 21, 1940 in Davie County to the late Albert O. and Bessie Dobson Reavis. She was a graduate of Davie County High School. Until 1990, she worked beside her husband as co-owners of Cartner’s Service Center.  Since retiring, she enjoyed being a member of the Statesville Artist Guild for many years and was an accomplished artist. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, and was a gardener enjoying her flowers. The couple spent many years and made many friends ballroom dancing. Her greatest delight was cooking and spending time with family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by: 2 sisters, her twin sister, Betty Lou at birth and Judy Reavis; and 2 brothers, Danny Reavis and Jerry Reavis.

Survivors: her husband of 58 years, Edgar “Ed” Cartner of the home; 2 sisters, Mary (Bill) Howard of Mocksville and Carolyn (Willie) Beck of Panama City, Fla.; a brother, Joe (Debbie) Reavis of Burlington; 2 sisters-in-law, Kathy Reavis and Sylvia Reavis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was conducted at 4 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 27 at Eaton Funeral Chapel in Mocksville. Visitation with friends followed. A private burial will take place later.
