Kimberly Dawn Vogler Harris

Mrs. Kimberly Dawn Vogler Harris, 53, of E. Chinaberry Court, Mocksville, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019 at her home.

She was born July 15, 1965 in Rowan County to Brenda Gail Whitlock Vogler and the late Harry Scott Vogler Sr.   Mrs. Harris was a graduate of Davie County High School, Class of 1983, and graduated from Davidson County Community College with a nursing degree in 1985. To start her nursing career, she worked the first 5 years at Davie County Hospital, she then transferred to Davis Regional Medical Center in Statesville as the nurse manager for the next 15 years and then as a critical care nurse with Novant Health for the last 13 years. She loved spending time with her family and friends at Sea Level.   

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, David Harris.

Survivors: her husband, David Lester Harris, and a daughter, Kamryn Harris, both of the home; her mother, Brenda Whitlock Vogler of Cooleemee; 3 siblings, Kelly Cartner (Leaman) Mocksville, Starr Snow (Ken) of Courtney and Scott Vogler (LaRhonda) of Ocean Isle; several nieces and nephews; her fur babies, Paizlee, Ozzy and Berkley; and a special friend, Stephanie Slane.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 19 at Edgewood Baptist Church with the Revs. Frank Blankenship and David Snipes officiating. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service.
