Nancy Louise Ridenhour Foster

Mrs. Nancy Louise Ridenhour Foster, 85, of Pine Ridge Road, Cooleemee, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 at Genesis Eldercare of Salisbury.

She was born July 30, 1933 in Davie County to the late Cicero Richard and Eva Hellard Ridenhour. Mrs. Foster was a life-long member of Cooleemee First Baptist Church. She graduated from Cooleemee High School and Salisbury Beauty College. Mrs. Foster owned and operated Nancy’s Beauty Shop in Cooleemee and later worked at the Salisbury VA Medical Center.

She was also preceded in death by: her husband, James Dallas “Doll” Foster on Oct. 30, 2018; a daughter, Anita “Missy” Foster; sisters, Edna Louise Ridenhour, Kathleen Spry and Rachel Spry; and brothers, Richard Ridenhour, Thomas Ridenhour and Bruce Ridenhour.

Survivors: her brother, James A Ridenhour, sister-in-law, Ruth Ridenhour, both of Cooleemee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 5 at Cooleemee First Baptist Church with the Rev. Allen Mullins officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
