Jeffrey Van “Jeff” Anderson, 62, died at his home under Hospice care on Monday, Dec. 10, 2018.

He was born in Iredell County on March 8, 1956, the son of the late George Samuel and Edna Pauline Daughtry Anderson. He was a graduate of West Rowan High School and after working on the family farm for a number of years, he became a self-employed auto mechanic. He loved working on “muscle cars” and racing them as well. More recently, he enjoyed assembling Lionel model trains.

Survivors: his wife of 33 years, Kathy Presnell Anderson; 2 sons, Jason and David Anderson of the home; 2 daughters, Cody Anderson of the home and Jessica Allen (Michael) of Cooleemee; and 4 grandchildren, Mia, Madison, Caylee and Bentley.

The family will receive friends at Davie Funeral Chapel Wednesday, Dec. 12 from 5:30-7 p.m. A celebration of life service will begin at 7 p.m. officiated by Pastor Chris Williams. Private burial will follow at a later date at Center UMC Church Cemetery.
