Mr. James Hartman Poindexter, 40, died unexpectedly on Monday, July 16, 2018.

He was born in Forsyth County on April 9, 1978.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting.  He was a loving husband and father.

Surviving: his wife of 17 years, Amanda Jones Poindexter; 2 sons, Daniel and Matthew Poindexter; mother, Ella Mae Poindexter; sister, Sharon Hudson; nephew, Mark Hudson; several other family members and a close friend, Phil Fleming.

A funeral service was held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at the Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Pastor Rodney Hellard officiating.  Burial followed at Baileys Chapel United Methodist Church. The family received friends from noon-1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
