xMr. Jerry Dale Jones, 68, of Advance, died Friday, May 25, 2018, at his home.

He was born Jan. 24, 1950 in Davie County to the late John Wade and Pauline Fourthy Grubb Jones. Mr. Jones was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He was a member of Fork Baptist Church.  Mr. Jones loved horseback riding, hunting and fishing.  He was passionate and involved with the fire department and community.

Survivors: his wife, Sherri Jean Wyatt Jones of the home; 4 sons, Jeffrey Leonard (Brenda) of Rowan County, Michael Jones (Amy) of Mocksville, Brian Jones (Megan) and Jeremy Jones (Karly); a sister, Linda Rabon (David), all of Advance; and 3 grandchildren, Lance, Lexi and Paisley Jones.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Monday, May 28 at Fork Baptist Church with the Revs. Robert Garrett and Adam Ridenhour officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
