A Mocksville man was arrested March 20 for assaulting another man in a dispute over a drill.
Timothy Hudson, 28, of Hudson Lane, was charged by the Davie County Sheriff’s Department with assault inflicting serious bodily injury and common law robbery.
The victim told officers that he had borrowed a drill from Hudson, and went to Hudson’s house to talk about it on March 19.
A fight ensued, and Hudson beat the man about the face, said Sheriff J.D. Hartman. The victim suffered a broken eye socket and sinus damage, and will require plastic surgery to repair the damage.
Hudson told the victim if he had pills, he would accept them for the cost of the drill. The victim handed over bottles containing Diazepam and Suboxone, Hartman said.
When officers served a warrant on Hudson’s residence the next day, he wasn’t there, but other people were. Chastity Spry, 24, was there and gave false information to the officers, Hartman said. She was charged with obstructing and delaying an officer and simple possession of marijuana.
Hudson was found later that day by the department’s warrant squad.
