United Way of Davie County’s newest corporate partner is DEX Heavy Duty Parts in Advance, the country’s largest supplier of renovated, recycled, and surplus heavy duty parts.

DEX, last year, recycled 4 million pounds of material from operations.

On Thursday, Feb. 15, the leadership and employees of DEX presented a $10,363 check to the United Way of Davie County to launch the partnership.

“Not only do we want to be good stewards of our environment but as a part of the DEX culture we place a large emphasis on being involved in our community and a partnership with the United Way of Davie County makes great sense for us at DEX,” said Darin Redmon.

The United Way of Davie focuses on three primary goals: a strong education, financial stability and building healthy lives.

“Our community’s needs are on the increase based on a recent polling of leadership of our Davie County non-profits by the board of directors of UWDC,” said Melinda Beauchamp, United Way executive director. “If you are not a part of the United Way family, consider joining today. You may give online at www.davieunitedway.org. Your gift is a sure way to know that you are making a positive contribution to Davie County…because great things happen when we live united.”
