Mrs. Anna Hemric Ratledge, 78, of Ratledge Road, Mocksville, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017 at SECU Hospice CareCenter of Yadkin.

She was born Oct. 28, 1939 in Surry County to the late Reece and Bonnie Lee Snyder Hemric. Mrs. Ratledge enjoyed painting and spending time with her grandkids. She had a heart of gold and always wanted to make sure everybody else was taken care of.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Bell.

Survivors: her husband of 59 years, Earl L. Ratledge of the home; 3 children, Greg Ratledge (Linda) of Charlotte, Dana Ratledge Cole (Frank) of Pfafftown and Sherri Ratledge Garrard (Tony) of Milton; 5 grandchildren, Ashley, Brittany, Jonathan, Logan and Madison; 6 great-grandchildren, Dallas, Maisie, Scarlett, Desmond, J.B. and Ayden; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Bonnie and Lana.

A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, Nov. 19 at 3 p.m. at Center United Methodist Church Cemetery with Bobby Grigsby officiating.
