Mr. Lewis Ray Spry Sr., 86, of Pearson Drive, Mocksville, died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017 at Brian Center in Lexington.

Mr. Spry was born May 30, 1931, in Davie County to the late Joseph Franklin and Bessie S. Spry. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Spry had worked at the V.A. Hospital in Salisbury and was retired from Mocksville Builders Supply.  He loved rabbit hunting and fishinag.

He was also preceded in death by: 3 wives, Wanda S. Spry, Jane F. Spry and Judith H. Spry; 3 children, Joey Spry, Jackie Spry and Kim Spry Williams; 4 sisters; and 3 brothers.

Survivors: 5 children, Lewis Ray Spry Jr. (Donna), Alisa Allen (Nathan), Eddie Spry (Tricia), Anita Keisler (Robert) and Vicky Nail (Sid); 18 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Spry Patterson.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 24 at Jerusalem Baptist Church.
