Superintendent Dr. Darrin Hartness told Davie Board of Education members Oct. 3 the architect is working on a concept for the athletic field house at War Eagle Stadium at the new Davie High School, and he hopes to have an estimated cost and plan at a future meeting.

Work on baseball and softball fields continues, with the high school masonry students constructing the walls for dugouts and the construction management class in charge of roofing the dugouts.

“It is really good that our students are a part of this project,” Hartness said. “These young men will come by this school and show their spouse and their children and their grandchildren” they were a part of building that. “It’s a really good learning experience.”
