N.C. Department of Transportation contractors will shift all eastbound and westbound traffic between mile markers 169 and 174 on Interstate 40, into one lane traffic patterns for pavement work West of Bermuda Run.

Crews will make concrete pavement and resurfacing repairs along this portion of highway.

The traffic shift will start on Sunday, Oct. 22, at noon and will end Wednesday, Nov. 22, weather permitting.

Transportation officials remind motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit when traveling through work zones.
