Wayne Stroud

Mr. Wayne Stroud, 80, died on Sept. 19, 2017.

He was born on April 23, 1937 in Davie County  to Roy Elphonzo “Boyd” and Amanda Elizabeth Beck “Bessie” Stroud. He retired from Southern Screw after 27 years. He was a generous man who stood up for what was right and encouraged others to do the same. He was a loving, patient, kind, honest and inspiring man, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

Survivors: his wife, Sharon Campbell Stroud of Mocksville; daughter, Felicia Nicole Miller, of Henderson, Nev.; granddaughter, Olivia Zora Miller of Henderson; son, Justin Miller and wife Nicole of Mocksville; granddaughter, Anna Simone Miller,of Mocksville; sister, Frieda Dyson and husband Wayne of Mocksville and their children Dawn, Lisa and Shane and their families; brother, Wade Stroud and wife Myrtle of Mocksville and their children Sabrina, Tonya and Waylon and their families; mother-in-law, Gladys Bryant of Harmony; best friend, Jimmy Pennel of Elkin; and many other friends and relatives.

The family held visitation on Sunday, Sept. 24 at 2 p.m. at Liberty Wesleyan Church, 2106 Sheffield Road, Harmony. The funeral service followed.
