Jacqueline Pickett Adams

Jacqueline Pickett Adams, 91, died Sunday, Sept.  10, 2017, at Autumn Care of Mocksville.

Born Nov. 6, 1925, in Yadkin County, she was the daughter of the late Lester E. Pickett and Josie Cranfill Pickett. Mrs. Adams was a homemaker and member of Ijames Baptist Church. She was a great cook and cake maker.

Survivors: 5 daughters, Annie Appel (Richard) of Winston-Salem, Judy White (Richard) of Emerald Isle, Linda Richardson (Donald) of Clemmons, Jenny Dwiggins (Donnie) of Mocksville and Lisa Durham (Michael) of Mocksville; a brother, Lester Pickett Jr.; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by: her husband, Harvey L. Adams; 2 brothers, Aldean Pickett and James Pickett; and a sister, Mildred Simmons.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14 at Ijames Baptist Church in Mocksville officiated by the Rev. Daniel Harmon. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.
