Martin-Hill couple married in Winston-Salem

Sarah Ruth Elizabeth Martin and Brandon Lee Hill were married June 24 at 5:30 p.m. The Revs.  Bruce Gwyn and Emily Hull McGee performed the double-ring ceremony at First Baptist Church in Winston-Salem.

The bride is the daughter of Dan and Sheryl Martin of Advance. The groom is the son of Kathy and David Stumpf and Leroy Hill of Mocksville.

The bride wore an ivory Lazaro ball gown and carried a bouquet of white roses, with white and pink peonies. Family and friends created her cathedral length veil.

The groom wore a black tuxedo and surprised the bride with a custom made Lilly Pulitzer vest and bow tie created by Susan Wall-Smith of Mocksville.

Matron of honor was Kayla Newton of Richmond, Va. Bridesmaids were Marcie Gasque of Seneca, S.C., Kori Seifert of Crofton, Md., Kristen Baker of Clemmons, Hayley Harris and Marian Hunckler, both of Winston- Salem.

The best man was Chris Carleton of Lewisville,. The groomsmen were Nick Williams of Advance, Landon Harris of Winston-Salem, Ben Powell of Clemmons, and Derald Dryman of New York.

Dinner and dancing followed the ceremony at the Millennium Center in Winston-Salem.

Mr. and Mrs. Hill honeymooned in Saint Lucia. They reside in Forsyth County.
