Barbara Jean Young Sales died on Sunday, July 16, 2017, at her residence.

She was born on Nov. 24, 1959 in Yadkin County, daughter of the late Brady and Alean Kimbrough Young. She was educated in Yadkin County Schools, and graduated from Forbush High School, Class of 1978. She attended Surry College, where she was a student in the nursing program, and was employed at Forsyth Medical Center. She also worked at the Jewish Home in Clemmons, and Bermuda Run. She loved to collect Princess House and Tupperware.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors: 2 sons, Jason D. (Natalie) Young, and Dennis (Jade) Sales; a brother, Crawford (Vickey) Young; 7 sisters, Ruth Carolyn Tatum, Pauline Young, Maxine (Robert) Davis, Anne (Thomas) Campbell, Rosa Mae Young, Kay (Brent) Stevenson, and Tangee´ Young; a devoted friend, Calvin Hillian; other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 20, at 3 p.m. at Tabernacle United Church of Christ in Yadkin County.  Pastor Marvin Harper will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church 30 minutes before the service.
