Darlene Annette Barringer Gunter, 49, of Woodleaf, died Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

She was born in Cleveland County on March 25, 1968, the daughter of Mary Ann Hilton Barringer and the late Vernon Barringer.

Also surviving: her husband, Roger Gunter; a son, Daniel Hicks (Brandy Robbins) of Woodleaf; a daughter, Susan Smith (Billy) of Hickory; 3 brothers, Jeffery Barringer, Junior Barringer and James Barringer, all of Alabama; and 6 grandchildren, Madison, Nicklos, Anabelle, Roger Jr., Dennis and Daellaray.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Joe Barringer and a sister, Sherri Barringer.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 17 at Woodleaf Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Chris Williams.
