Students in all-state choral festival

Eight Davie High Choral students participated in the NC All-State Choral Festival in Raleigh, May 5-6.

The students rehearsed in venues downtown and performed at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts.

The Davie High Choral Fest is Friday, May 19 at the Brock Performing Arts Center, North Main Street, Mocksville, at 7 p.m.

The concert will feature Vocal Ensemble presenting concert selections and selections from the Honors Ensembles.

Vocal Ensemble will also perform selections from Broadway musicals such as “West Side Story,” “Hamilton-An American Musical,” “Grease,” “Mamma Mia,” “Wicked” and others.

The concert includes Choral Beginning groups that will perform as separate classes and that will combine to sing music made famous by the Beatles.
