Rains create spectacle at Bullhole

These pictures were taken on Thursday morning, April 27, and even though this was the second day after all the rain, you can see the movement at the Bullhole dam was still rumbling.

The walk down the RiverPark trail to the water was entertaining with a loud roar of power.

Big rains like we had for several days naturally raise the water levels and this can dramatically change the terrain as we once knew it.

Where everyone once used to sit under the trees on rocks and watch the tiny stream is now covered over with a large sand bar.

The swirl designs in the sand leave traces of the water’s movement, interesting to observe.

This isn’t the first time this has happened and it surely will not be the last.

Take caution if you go to RiverPark to see the rising waters, it can be dangerous, so observe from a good distance.
