David Alan Deadmon

Mr. David Alan Deadmon, 60, died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, following a six year battle with prostate cancer.

He was born June 9, 1956, in Elizabeth, N.J. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marines. He was employed by Honda Jet in Greensboro, had worked many years with U.S. Airways in Winston-Salem and Charlotte and also with TIMCO in Greensboro.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Albert Deadmon.

Survivors: his wife, Karen Ratledge Deadmon; his mother, Eva Tutterow Deadmon of Mocksville; 2 daughters, Kara Elizabeth Deadmon of Durham and Erin Kathleen Deadmon of Boston, Mass.; a brother, Edward Deadmon (Rebecca) of Cary; sisters-in-law, Ann Barnes of Mocksville and Etta Ratledge of Winston-Salem; and many family members.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 11 at Episcopal Church of the Ascension at Fork with Father Dan Wall officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium with military honors conducted by the Veterans of Foreign War Memorial Honor Guard.  The family will receive friends following the service.
