Catherine Colette “Cathie” Bacher, 72, of Mocksville (formerly of Philadelphia, Pa. and then from Rockville, Md.) died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017 at her home.

She was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Mocksville. A graduate of St. Hubert High School in Philadelphia, she worked as a paralegal for Miles and Stockbridge in Rockville before retiring. She will be remembered for her graciousness, a kind heart, and compassion.

Survivors: her husband of 50 years, Robert James “Bob” Bacher; 2 daughters, Jill Kerr and husband Jim, and Marcie Kennedy and husband John; and 5 grandchildren, Connor, Charlotte, Holly, Johnny and Jason.

The family received friends from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Feb. 4 at Davie Funeral Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial followed at 1 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi, conducted by the Rev. Father John Starczewski.
