Congressman-elect Ted Budd of Advance (NC-13) has announced the appointment of Todd Poole, former congressional chief of staff and executive director of the N.C. Republican Party, as his new district director.

“I am excited to announce Todd Poole has joined our team serving North Carolina’s 13th District,” said Budd. “He is a proven leader with a wealth of experience and knowledge of the district and state. His insights and experience will prove invaluable as we build a team to provide top-notch constituent services.”

“I want to thank Congressman-elect Budd for the opportunity to return home and work for my hometown member of Congress,” said Poole. “It is incredibly rewarding to help constituents and it has always been my true passion in public service. I look forward to this new opportunity and establishing a constituent service program that is second to none.”

Poole is a seasoned political and governmental affairs veteran with nearly two decades of experience. Poole most recently served as Congressman Richard Hudson’s (NC-08) Chief of Staff in Washington, DC and previously helped secure victories for the state Republican Party as its executive director, including electing Thom Tillis to the U.S. Senate, increasing the number of Republican members of Congress and maintaining the supermajorities in the NC General Assembly.

Poole served as district director and deputy chief of staff for Rep. Virginia Foxx (NC-05) for three years before being promoted to chief of staff for five years. Poole also served on then-Representative Richard Burr’s constituent services team for six years.

Poole earned a master’s in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Appalachian State University, where he served as student body vice president.
