Mary Doulin Holman

Mary Doulin Holman of Mocksville died on Dec 14, 2016.
She was born in Davie County on Dec. 11, 1925 to Fisher and Alice F. Doulin. She worked for many years at Davie High School and as a domestic in private homes. She was married to Walter Holman. She was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church, and in later years at Greater Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, John Charles and Walter Manuel (Bubba) Doulin.
Survivors: her 2 daughters, Alice D. (Clarence) Vereen, and Donna H.(Sanford) Jones; 3 grandchildren, Raeshika K. Jones, Sanford B. Jones, and Walter T. (Angie) Jones; a great-granddaughter, Zayleighana (Zaya) Aphradite Jones; a sister-in-law, Lillian Doulin; special friends she cherished, Rebecca C. Isaac, Bessie “Sweetie” Newsome, Annie Laura Dulin, Magalene Gaither, and Charlie R. Rivers.
A memorial service was held on Friday, Dec. 16 at 4 p.m. at Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Mocksville. The Rev. Artie Campbell officiated and burial followed in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.
