John Pink ‘JP’ Gregory

Mr. John Pink “J.P.” Gregory, 94, of US 601 South, Mocksville, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at his home.

He was born Dec. 24, 1921 in Davie County to the late Melvin and Hattie Copley Gregory. Mr. Gregory was a member of Turrentine Baptist Church and was a retired brick mason. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Gregory loved the Lord and enjoyed fishing.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Pauline James Gregory; 4 sisters; and 6 brothers.

Survivors: 2 children, Barry Gregory (Mike Degrandchamp) and Pat Gregory; 5 grandchildren, Paige Gregory, Greg Dull, Michelle Jaudon (Steve), April Bryant (Joe) and Nicole Martin-Baker (Mike); 8 great-grandchildren, Hannah Dull, Justin Dull, Colby Martin, Luke Bryant, Robert Martin, Adam Jaudon, Parker Bryant and Wesley Jaudon; and several nieces and nephews

A funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 19 at Turrentine Baptist Church with the Rev. Fred Carlton officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery with military honors conducted by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard. The family received friends Sunday, Dec. 18 at Eaton Funeral Home.
