Mrs. Ada Sheek Smith, 79, of Essic Road, Mocksville, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

She was born July 22, 1937, in Yadkin County to the late Delbert and Louise Sheek. She married Bob Lee Smith on June 4, 1953.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years; and a grandson, Matthew Smith.

Survivors: 2 daughters, Gail Wilkinson of Asheville and Jill Williams (Carlos) of Mocksville; a son, Brad Smith of Mocksville; 6 grandchildren, Amanda Smith (Matt), Brandi Welch (Michael), Cheyanne Jennett, all of Mocksville, Mitchell, Marshall and Maddison Smith, all of Florida; 7 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bucky Sheek of Yadkinville.

A private family service celebrating her life will be held.
