Betty Starr Glover Braswell

Mrs. Betty Starr Glover Braswell, 73, died on Dec. 6, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Health.
She was born June 17, 1943 in Wake County to the late William Lee Glover Sr. and Betty Barden Glover. Mrs. Braswell was a member of Clemmons Presbyterian Church. She received her undergraduate degree from Mars Hill University, obtained her master’s of education degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and master’s of school administration from Campbell University. She was a teacher and principal for the Durham and Wake County public schools systems. Her faith in God and her compassion for those in need represent the dedicated, generous and gracious person that she was. She was active and supportive of charitable organizations.
Survivors: her husband of 51 years, Charles Marion Braswell; her daughter, Katie Hutchens and husband Ricky; her son, Gill Braswell and wife Amy; 3 grandchildren, Kaylee, Lauren, and Jacob Hutchens; her sister, Sarah Bridges; her brother, William Glover and wife Martha; and by many other “family” members.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 at Bermuda Village Retirement Community with the Rev. Dr. William Hoyle of Clemmons Presbyterian officiating. Inurnment will be later at Clemmons Presbyterian Church Columbarium.
