Mrs. Hazel Faye Reynolds Rummage, 88, of Sterling Drive, Mocksville, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.

She was born Aug. 14, 1928, in Davie County to the late John Alonzo and Gladys “Datie” Boger Reynolds. Mrs. Rummage was a beloved and active member of Eatons Baptist Church and was a retired seamstress. A loving Christian lady, she had a wonderful sense of humor and loved her nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John D. “Johnny” Rummage; 3 sisters; and 6 brothers.

Survivors: her sister, Mae Reynolds Canupp of Lexington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 8 at Eatons Baptist Church with Dr. David Gilbreath officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
