Ms. Nancy Louise Thompson Spradlin, 77, formerly of North Carolina, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016 in Colonial Heights, Va.

She was born April 12, 1939, in Rockbridge County, Va. to the late Cecil Thompson and Nancy Ferguson Thompson. She was retired from ITT Optical in Roanoke, Va. and worked part time at RCR Racing when she moved to North Carolina.

Survivors: a sister, Sue Dancy; and 4 children, Kathy Dickinson of Mocksville, Teresa Pacheco of Winston-Salem, Leslie Mayo II of Chester, Va. and William Mayo of Bedford, Va.; 7 grandchildren, Amanda Lukas, Matthew Mayo, Melissa Boone, Nichole Dubois, Geoffrey Mayo and Elisabeth Mayo, Charlotte Mayo; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Ms. Spradlin remains are being cremated at her request and no funeral nor memorial is being held at her request.
