Dewey Jay Hunt Jr., 71 of Mocksville, died on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, in Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

His funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec.  9, at 11:30 a.m. in the Stout-Phillips Chapel of Phillips Funeral Service, Wewoka, Okla. Burial will follow in Westwood Cemetery in Wewoka.

Mr. Hunt served faithfully at Smith Grove AME Zion Church in Mocksville, where the Rev. Pamela Phillips serves as pastor. A memorial service will be held at Smith Grove, 3707 US 158 Mocksville, on Saturday, Dec.  10 at noon.
