Mr. William “Willie” Franklin Bright, 66, of Advance, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 26, 1950 in Pelham, S.C. to Oris Smith Bright and James William Bright. Mr. Bright served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Redland Church, IPHC.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kristi; a son, Jason; 2 brothers, Leroy and Bill Bright.

Surviving: his wife of 46 years, Cathy Beauchamp Bright; a son, Josh Bright and wife Krystal of Lincolnton; and a brother, Virgil Bright and wife Dottie of Mocksville.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 at Redland Church, IPHC with Pastors David Richardson, Joel K. Boyles and Tim Nichols officiating. Burial bwill follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1 at the church.
