Mr. Charles Richard Shinault, 56, of Salisbury, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, at Rowan Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Forsyth County on Sept. 20, 1960, the son of the late Alta Mae Nance Shinault and Luther Franklin Shinault. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Franklin and Steven Shinault. He was a truck driver with Best Cartage, Inc. He attended North Main Baptist Church in Salisbury.

Survivors: a son, Matthew Shinault (Katy) of Mocksville; a daughter, Jennifer Shinault of Salisbury; the mother of his children, Anita Shinault; 2 step-daughters, Lauryn Bell of Pineville and Tiffany Bell of Salisbury; a brother, Kenneth Ray Shinault, and a sister, Glenda S. Morris, both of Yadkinville; 3 grandchildren, Jayden and Urijah Dillard and Alexis Shinault; 8 step-grandchildren, Christin, Drew, Billy, Kaylee, Abby, Danny, Conner and Chloe; and a former wife, Tracey Shinault of Lexington.

The family received friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20 at North Main Baptist Church. The celebration of life service followed at 3 p.m. officiated by the pastor, Dr. Dale Robertson.
