Benjamin Michael Lowdermilk

Mr. Benjamin Michael Lowdermilk, 34, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

He was born Aug. 19, 1982, in Davie County to William Grady “Gray” Lowdermilk Jr. and Debra Anne Tkach Lowdermilk. He loved music and was proficient with many instruments. He was a “gentle giant” and his smile and bear hugs were a comfort. He was loved by family and friends.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ed and Fran Tkach; paternal grandfather, Bill Lowdermilk; and an aunt, Valerie Harris.

Survivors: his parents of the home; 3 siblings, Will Lowdermilk (Tommie), Kelly Lowdermilk, all of Winston-Salem and J.R. Wagner (Brianna) of Mamers; paternal grandmother, Shirley Lowdermilk of Mocksville; aunts and uncles, Ann Bailey, Patti Edson (Mike), Ed Tkach (Dave), Albert Tkach (Donna), Frances Starnes (James), David Tkach (Paula) and Cliff Tkach (Renae); many cousins, nieces and nephews; special uncle, Garry Harris; special grandmother, Bonnie Harris; and many special friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 8 at Fork Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Garrett officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. A meal will be provided for the family in the fellowship hall following the visitation.
