Mr. Todd William McInnis, 49, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born Jan. 13, 1967, in Forsyth County to Linda Kay Griggs McInnis and the late James Richard McInnis. He loved to travel, fishing, being outdoors, woodworking, carving, camping, farming, making hay and growing crops. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. from 1985-1989. He was a Presidential Air Wing Crew Chief on HMXI with President Ronald Reagan and President George H.W. Bush. He loved life and lived every moment enjoying God’s creation. He married wife Reba on July 26, 1991, and they just celebrated their 25th anniversary. Their celebration trip to the Ronald Reagan Library, Yosemite National Park and Sequoia National Forest was a dream trip. He got to sit in the seat of the helicopter he flew when he served President Reagan.
Survivors: his wife, Reba G. McInnis of the home; his mother of Winston-Salem; a brother, Brian Richard McInnis of Florida; a sister, Lisa McMahan (Chris) of Lexington; a niece, Brittany McInnis; a nephew, Sean McInnis; father-in-law, Mack George; and a brother-in-law, Bryan George, both of Westfield.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Friday, Aug. 12 at Hillsdale United Methodist Church, Advance with the Rev. Jerry Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Ijames Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday at the church.
