Jose Rodolfo Salgado Reyes, 16, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

He was born in Winston-Salem on Feb. 29, 2000, the son of Guillermo R. Trinidad and Serafin Salgado Reyes. He was a rising Junior at Davie County High School and attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Mocksville.

In addition to his parents, he is survived b: 2 brothers, Adrian Romero Ibarra and Christian Tomas Romero; 3 sisters, Jacqueline Rodriguez Salgado, Layla Romero Salgado and Ariana Romero Ibarra; maternal grandparents, Bertha Reyes and Jose Salgado; paternal grandparents, Marie Trinidad and Jose Romero; an aunt, Cecilia Salgado; and 2 uncles, Jesus Romero and Mauro Romero.

The family received friends at Davie Funeral Chapel from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7. A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church officiated by the Rev. Father John Starczewski. Burial followed in Rose Cemetery in Mocksville.
