Eugene Wayne ‘Mouchie’ Mock Sr.

Eugene Wayne “Mouchie” Mock Sr., 76, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Davie County, born Feb. 25, 1940, to the late Henry and Mandy Louise McMahan Mock. He was the widower of Regina Ann Hauser Mock. At the time of her passing, they had been married for 41 years. He attended Central Davie County Training School and retired in 1991 from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. as a forklift operator after many years. He was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors: 3 sons, Rodney Daniel Foote (Christine) of Harmony, Eugene Wayne Mock Jr., and William Henry Mock, both of Mocksville; a daughter, Denise Mock (Ramiro Trejo) of Salisbury; a step-daughter, Terry Hauser of Virginia; a brother, Alfred Lee McMahan (Quintenna) of Mocksville; a sister, Betty McMahan of East Bend; 9 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11 at Davie Funeral Chapel. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in the funeral chapel officiated by Pastor Rodney Barker. Burial will follow in the Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
