Wesley Haze Martin, 27, of Hickory, died on Thursday, July 28, 2016.

He was born on July 14, 1989 to Roger Martin and Sonya Horne Huffman in Winston-Salem. He was a 2008 graduate of West Forsyth High School and he attended Lenoir Rhyne College. He worked as a sales executive for Southern Glove, Inc. He was a sergeant in the N.C. Army National Guard. He was deployed to Kuwait  from July 2012 to October 2012 and Afghanistan from October 2012 to February 2013.

Survivors: sons, Carson Haze Martin and Talon Jay Martin; brother, Zane Grey Martin of Hickory; 2 sisters, Angel Leigh Martin of Mocksville, and Brite Star Martin of Mocksville; a niece, Cordelia Adeen Helenek.

Graveside services were held on Friday, Aug. 5, 2016 at 9 a.m. at the Salisbury National Cemetery with Patrick Sheldon, officiating.  Full military honors were provided by the NC Army National Guard. The family received friends at the National Guard Mocksville Armory following the service.
