Ann Marie Foster Cartner

Mrs. Ann Marie Foster Cartner, 53, of US 64 West, Mocksville, died Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.

She was born Sept. 15, 1962 in Davie County to the late Kenneth David and Joyce Marie Green Foster. She was a member of South River United Methodist Church in Woodleaf and was a member of the Mocksville Garden Club. In addition to gardening and flowers, she enjoyed knitting. She was known for being a mother to all.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Mark Foster.

Survivors: her husband of 32 years, Tony Cartner; 2 daughters, Lindsay and Heather Cartner, all of the home; a sister, Holly Burgdofer; a brother, Scott Foster (Brandy) all of Cleveland; nieces and nephews, Raegan, Karrigan and Jensen Foster, Echo and Seth Burgdofer and Emma Brewer.

A funeral service was conducted at 5 p.m., Monday, Aug. 1 at Eaton Funeral Chapel with the the Revs. Brenda Newman, David Childress and Randy Powell officiating. Burial followed in South River United Methodist Church Cemetery in Woodleaf. The family received friends Monday, Aug. 1 at the funeral home.
