Karen Gail Dildine Taylor

Karen Gail Dildine Taylor, 53, of Linwood died at her home Saturday, July 16, 2016, after a year-long battle with cancer.

She was the wife of Michael Dale Taylor of the home, and the daughter of Pansy Hazel Myers Dildine of Trinity, and the late Johnny Dildine. Also preceding her in death was a son, Joseph Hendrix, and a sister, Sharon Dildine.

She was a graduate of Trinity High School. She served as a teacher’s assistant in the Guilford County Public School System for 17 years, and she was a member of Allendale Baptist Church in High Point. She loved children and teaching Bible School. She also loved her dog, “Tiny.” Other things she enjoyed were shopping and cooking.

Also surviving: daughters, Spencer Livengood (Randall) of Lexington and Brandi Phillips (Brian) of Yadkinville; a son, Michael Taylor Jr.;  2 brothers, Steve Dildine (Virgie) of Archdale, and Gene Dildine of South Carolina; 2 sisters, Judy Jolly (Fred) of Trinity, and Twila Radford (Larry) of Albemarle; 4 grandsons, Matthew and Charlie Taylor, and Kaleb and Cody Sousa; a granddaughter, Mikah Phillips; plus many nieces, nephews and extended family.

A celebration of life service was conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, July 18 at Allendale Baptist Church, High Point officiated by the Rev. David Younger. The family received friends prior to the service.Burial followed in Floral Garden Park Cemetery, High Point.
