Edna Mae Niblock Kurfees

Edna Mae Niblock Kurfees died at her home in Cleveland, NC on Friday, July 15, 2016, 12 days before her 88th birthday.
She was born in Iredell County July 27, 1928, the daughter of the late Elsie Myree O’Neil Niblock and the late Malcolm Niblock. She was the widow of William Kurfees who died in December, 1993. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Kurfees worked as a nursing assistant in the care of others. She was a member of Corinth Church of Christ in Woodleaf.
She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Lawrence and Cowan Niblock.
Survivors: her daughter, Debbie Kurfees and husband, Earl of Cleveland; a brother, Ben Niblock of Smithfield; 2 sisters, Barbara Lane (Vernon) of Salisbury and Joan Ledford (Ed) of Alabama; 3 grandchildren, Christopher Kurfees, Heather Ferrell (Garrett) and Ashley Kurfees; a great-grandchild, Jordan Ferrell; plus a sister-in-law, Sybil Niblock.
A graveside celebration of life service was conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday, July 18 at the Rowan Memorial Park Mausoleum officiated by Preacher R.D. McDaniel.
