Louie Carl “Peanut” Doby, 66, of Advance died Monday June 13, 2016 at Forsyth Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Davie County on Feb. 3, 1950; son of the late Samuel Thomas (S.T.) Dunn and Louise Myers Dunn. He attended Fellowship Baptist Church and was a self- employed mechanic.

Survivors: 3 sons, William Doby (Marcia) of Mocksville, Louie Carl (C.J.) Doby Jr. and Austin Doby (Ellen) all of Advance; 4 daughters, Tammy Doby of Utah, Jessica Smith of Mocksville, Quwanna Doby of Advance and Gina Ochoa of Texas; 14 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronnie Dale Dunn.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday June 16 from Fellowship Baptist Church, Advance, officiated by Pastor Wayne Swisher with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church
