Ila V. Beck, 104, died on Monday, May 30, 2016.

Born April 8, 1912 in Davie County, she was the daughter to the late Charles and Fereabee Cleary Beck. She played numerous instruments throughout her life and was an accomplished seamstress who could make anything. Her  family was part of the founding of Liberty Wesleyan Church where she was a lifelong member. She was a church believer and the pianist for most of her adult life.

She is preceded in death by her brother and 2 sisters.

Survivors: a large number of nieces and nephews and extended family members.

A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, June 2 at 2 p.m. at Liberty Wesleyan Church with Pastor Harold Bumbee officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. She lie in state from 1:30-2 p.m. at the church.
